These rules apply specifically to the MistMC Discord server. By joining and participating in our Discord community, you agree to abide by these guidelines in addition to Discord's own Terms of Service.
§1 · Communication

Speak English in public channels. Our staff and community are globally diverse, but English is required in all public-facing channels to ensure moderation is effective.

No spamming. This includes sending repeated messages, large blocks of text, excessive emojis, reactions, or unsolicited DMs to other members.

No disrespect or harassment. Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, name-calling, threats, doxxing, or personal attacks — in any channel or via DM — will result in an immediate ban.

No hate speech. Content that promotes or glorifies violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability has zero tolerance here.

Use channels appropriately. Post content only in relevant channels. Off-topic messages, memes in support channels, or gaming commentary in announcement channels will be deleted.
§2 · Content & Media

No NSFW content. Sharing explicit, violent, or age-restricted content of any kind is prohibited across all channels and will result in an immediate ban.

No advertising. Sending unsolicited links to other servers, websites, stores, or social media in public channels (without staff permission) will result in a permanent ban.

No malicious links. Sharing links containing malware, phishing pages, IP loggers, or scam content is an immediate and permanent ban with no appeal.

No political or religious debates. To maintain a friendly atmosphere, heated political or religious discussions are not permitted in any public channel.
§3 · Voice Channels

No earrape or soundboards. Playing loud sounds, earrape, or abusing soundboard effects to disrupt voice conversations is not allowed.

No channel hopping to annoy. Repeatedly joining and leaving voice channels or moving others without consent is a punishable offence.

Respect others' privacy. Do not record or broadcast voice conversations to external platforms without the explicit consent of all participants.
§4 · Support & Tickets

No ticket spamming. Opening multiple support tickets for the same issue, or opening tickets for non-serious matters, will result in a mute.

Be patient. Staff are volunteers who moderate in their own time. Demanding immediate responses or threatening staff in tickets will result in the ticket being closed and a warning issued.

Provide accurate information. Submitting false reports, fabricated evidence, or lie-based ban appeals wastes staff time and is itself a punishable offence.
"Generally, if behaviour is not acceptable in-game on the Minecraft server, then it is equally unacceptable on our Discord. The same standards of conduct apply across the entire MistMC community."
